Scouting provides young people with opportunities to participate in programmes, events, activities and projects that contribute to their growth as active citizens. Scouts are creating a better world for their communities through their activities. For each age group we have can offer an attractive set of activities that will help you grow, explore and meet other young people like you.
Cubs (7-11 Years Old)
Develop new skills, and make new friends. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.
Cubs are young people aged 7 to 11 who:
- Make new friends
- Master new skills and try new things while having fun
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others in their local communities
Every week, they gather in groups called Cub Packs to take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Scouts (11-15 Years Old)
Jump in and get muddy. Give back and explore new world. Scouts ignore their comfort zones and go for it, and soon so will you.
Scouts are a go-getting group of young people aged 11 to 15 who:
- Create new friends
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
- Explore the world around them
- Help others in their local communities in need
Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world starting small, and then go big. Having fun in urban landscapes or in mother nature they know for sure how they can have fun with their friends.
Rovers (15-18 Years Old)
Try more. See more. Do more. At Rovers, you’ll stand on your own feet, and make memories to last a lifetime, getting out of your comfort zone. Stars are the limit for them!
Rovers are a group of young people aged 15 to 18. Together, they set their goals, work towards them, travel extensively exploring their world like no one else.
Weekly, or whenever they decide, they gather in groups called Units to try new things, make new friends and conquer the small task of changing the world.
Scout Network (18-26 Years Old)
Try more. See more. Do more. At Scout Network, you’ll stand on your own two feet, and make memories to last a lifetime.
Whether you’re completely new to Scouts or have been with us since you were 7 years old, joining is a great way to meet new people, seek out new challenges and see the world. Your Scout experience doesn’t need to stop when you turn 18. Welcome to Network!
Adult members of the Scout Network manage their own journey, organising their own projects with the support of Adult Volunteers or external professionals, connecting with their Local Society or the World. They dream big, and their activities show that. They try to understand the issues and find solutions to a complex world.
Network members don’t necessarily meet every week. Some might meet a few times a year to complete a single project together. Others might dive into lots of different projects at once, or meet locally more regularly. Creating a Better World can be challenging but rewarding, and they know that.
